Absolutely loved my stay at the Castle Tavern! The room I booked was a Double Room, spacious with a large, cozy double bed. It felt warm and inviting, perfect for a solo traveler. The view of the market square from my room was a delightful touch. Every evening, enjoying a welcome drink added a nice personal touch, thanks to the friendly pub atmosphere. I appreciated the tea and coffee facilities available, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The pub's location in the market place is unbeatable, right next to charming shops and eateries. the shower could use some guidance for easier use. the price felt justified considering the warmth and spaciousness of the accommodations. I’ve already planned a rebooking for later this year. it’s a lovely place to stay!

The double room I had was spot on—spacious, warm, and equipped with a huge bed that felt like a cloud. Plus, the view of the market square from the room added a charming touch to my solo stay.
The shower was a bit tricky to use. While it wasn’t exactly cheap, the price was bearable given the overall comfort, but I expected a bit more for the cost.

Solo traveler find it excellent
The staff were very friendly and even helped me find a nice local spot for dinner! My room was spacious, warm, and the bed was huge, I slept like a baby!
It wasn’t inexpensive but quite bearable.

i had a lovely stay at castle tavern richmond. the room was spacious with a large double bed, and it felt really cozy. the location in the market place was perfect, making it easy to explore. the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help, which made my experience even better.

the shower was a bit tricky to use (but the hot water was consistent! ). the room had a fantastic view of the market square, and the bed was super comfy (i slept like a log! staff were quick to help with any questions!
